Time has gone by quickly
I thank God for allowing us to call this beautiful but cold land, home.

Friends tell me that it snowed early this morning. Of course, I missed it as I woke up at 12:00AM and everything had melted. This means that the summer shoes have to be put to rest as the salt used by the municipality to make the snow melt destroys them.
On another note, my computer is working fine again. It’s good to be back online
I have just realized that you can post your comments on any of the post that I make. Be nice and please stay relevant ;o).

Last week, my computer died. Or so I thought. After being examined by many computer experts, the verdict seemed that the machine was unusable and that I had to drop money to purchase a new PowerBook.
After taking it to a last expert, it turns out that there was a small electrical interference that messed it up completely!
I went for over a week without my computer, without checking emails or surfing the net every five minutes. I have to admit it….
I can’t live without the Internet!!!
Today was one of those days that just had to be diarized.
Out of the blue, interesting people showed up at my door literally and we quickly realised that we had mutual interests
And out of the blue again, after 8 years, one friend drops me a phone call saying that he’s in Montreal
At the club tonight, I met so many people (ok… women) and I must say that it’s been a pleasure talking to people who are smart as well as being pretty
Today was just a weird day… I wonder where the new relationships are headed
I don’t really like it when I have nothing new to say. It might be a sign that my life is becoming monotonous.
I am actually trying to work hard with my businesses to reach my year end goals. This summer was OK. The weather did not do us justice and I did not focus enough.
So right now, I am trying hard to focus on my business, DJ career and of course spiritual life.
As far as I am concerned, winter has arrived so let’s get those jackets, bini and scarves out.
It has happened. 25 years on this ball of mud. Thank you Lord for these years and please stay with me for the remainder of my life. I can now officially acknowledge that I am an adult. Yikes!!!!!
My last day before I move onto the second quarter of a hundred years…
Just busy… but don’t ask me with what because I don’t even know!
It’s with great emotion that I write this letter. Today, it’s the 15th of
July a symbolic day in my life: one year in Montreal.
When I landed here 365 or 366 days ago, I had no idea what I was
getting myself into. New city, with no contacts but a phone number of
a few old friends, a hope to establish myself in the city as a
resident, DJ and business person and my complete faith in God.
I have not been disappointed and have actually gotten more than I bargained for!
In less than a year, I have become one of the busiest DJs in Montreal.
I have played at all the leading and most stylish venues and am even
playing in Toronto where I am billed as an “out-of-town” DJ. I have
played with famous DJs and am to a point where my value has increased
to the point where DJing can be a sustainable source of income.
I am not saying all this to brag but to publicly thank God for being
faithful with me. I guess that Montreal is my promised land. I have
never made an effort to promote myself and DJ gigs just find me. In
South Africa, Lord knows how hard I tried. This is a true sign that
the Lord is on my side as far as making it big in Montreal is
concerned.
Enough about DJing. I have also made new friends to add to the ones
that I met again after so many years of separation. I must say that
the people, I am surrounded with make waking up in the morning (OK,
11am) something to look forward to.
As I write this, I am on the train back from Toronto where a busy
week-end is waiting for me. I just want to thank all my friends, ie:
YOU, for the prayers, support and love that you share with me daily or
once in a blue moon.
Stay blessed and thanks for being a great addition in my life.
Much respect and love,
Jean-Aim, alias JaBig
