Right on! Way to go… I would start celebrating the arrival of Spring but something tells me that I should put that on hold until it actually shows up.
I am working at a crazy pace trying to squeeze both January and February into February as I did nothing last month.
I am single but Valentine’s day is coming up. Of course, I have something under my sleeve… You’ll have to wait until the day arrives to find out what :o)
Now my life has a new meaning!!! After the crappy January, Feb starts on a rocking tip!!! Yeah!
Yup! are we smelling the end of winter? But people tell me not to get overexcited ‘cos Feb is the killer month as far as biting cold temperatures are concerned.
But still, I shall celebrate by running around the block with my t-shirt on!

I had all of it planned out until 1 hour before I got a phone call asking me to pick up my records and go play for jojoflores’ radio show as he would not make it as he was flying back from Paris.
Needless to say, I had to rush, pack everything, catch a taxi, go thru traffic (yes on a sunday!), set-up everything and start broadcasting. If you are an observing reader, you will notice that earlier i said that i lost my headphones. So it was rather intense DJing with no headhones until the wonderful DJ B’Ugo came thru for me. Thanks mate!

Left my DJ headphones in Air Canada. Of course, nobody saw them. It will teach me though… it was in the same flight i wondered what kind of tosser leaves stuff behind after hearing the pilot ask everyone not to leave any of their belongings behind

After 3 weeks of waiting patiently, i got my internet at last. As someone who depends on the net to work, i basically did nothing in January which is also the worst month for line of business (retail). So, January sucked big time. Not a nice way to start a year but I have lived thru worse and the Lord will carry me thru this too.

Ever since I moved into my new place on the 1st January, I don’t have net access yet. So how do I get online in the meantime?
Internet cafe and friends’ houses. I am sick and tired of this, it’s been 2 weeks I ordered the service! And as you know, I run an online business so access is crucial. I am really getting irritated with Bell and in 2 days, I will lose my patience.
If you are waiting a reply from an email that you sent me, please bear with me. I do get all the messages but cannot reply to them ‘cos I don’t want to abuse my hosts’ kindness.
And the cold is not helping either… But we are at -20 degrees Celcius on average so it’s improving (to be quite honest, compared to -40 it feels like summer!).

And I felt every biting second of it because I was out and was stuck outside for more than 10 minutes. It’s been hours since but i still feel the cold. And to say that I have to go thru that hell again to go back home 😦
I may seem like I am complaining… I am. But I prefer what I am going through than what I went through in South Africa that caused me to mover over to Canada
I do not love this weather but accept it as part of the deal.

I caught two planes to get home or to my parents’ home rather, yesterday. The first flight to Calgary was good. There was a lady who seemed to be complaining at everything so she amused me.
The trip to Saskatoon was hell. I pray to God that I never get to experience such a moment. You see, I have the flu and when I have the flu my ears hurt. Now I don’t know how the pilot was flying but I could literally hear popping in my ears every 5 seconds and needless to say that the pain was unbearable that I just held my head and almost started to cry in pain. The woman on my left was prolly wondering what drugs I was on.
I never thought there could be so much suffering from the ears. I was so relieved to get off the plane and did not even smile back at the flights attendants when I got out of the plane. Until I went to bed, my ears were still hurting. I hope that this is only a temporaly thing and that my ears will be fine when my flu goes away.
Today: spent all day in bed. This flu has made me useless. But I just had a nice cough syrup that made me pass out for an hour and I am feeling the results already.
What caused the flu by the way?
The changes from the average -5 degrees celcius to 1 degree celcius. Yes, minute differences but those are the ones that always nail me. I can’t even tell you what is going to happen in January when the temperatures drop below -15 😦
